About the Role

Sterling Health HMO, a leading National Health Insurance Agency (NHIA)-accredited Health Maintenance Organization operating nationally since 2007, is seeking a diligent and qualified Chartered Accountant to strengthen our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure financial integrity, manage regulatory compliance, and support our continuous delivery of quality healthcare services to public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, general ledger, and accounting records in compliance with Nigerian financial standards and NHIA regulations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgeting reports, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll administration, and tax computations and remittances.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless statutory compliance.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve overall operational efficiency within a healthcare environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Must be an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and an active ICAN certified member.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of cognate accounting experience.
  • Prior working experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, or HMO setting is a strong added advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
