Akintola Williams Deloitte is seeking an exceptional Tax Accountant to join our dynamic Finance Team in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Manage client withholding tax collection, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
- Handle monthly PAYE, VAT, and other statutory tax computations and remittances.
- Apply cash collections, WHT receipts, and credit notes to receivable balances while engaging business managers and partners on WHT debtor collection.
- Administer staff tax matters, including Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) applications and renewals.
- Prepare comprehensive tax reconciliations and support balance sheet account reviews and month-end reporting.
- Support responses to tax authority enquiries, audits, investigations, and regulatory reviews.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and tax compliance projects within the Finance function.
- Bachelor Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting or a related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Lower or Lower Credit Division.
- Minimum of five credits in WASSCE/NECO including Mathematics and English Language in one sitting.
- Fully qualified member of ICAN, ACCA, or CITN.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in taxation, accounting, finance, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly advanced Excel.
