About the Role
Benin Medical Care is a world-class healthcare facility located along Adesuwa Grammar School Road in the heart of Benin City. Commissioned on November 1, 2019, we provide comprehensive general and specialist medical services to individuals and families. We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Account Officer to support our growing finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring sound financial management.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions in accordance with established accounting procedures.
- Process and verify invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and expense claims for proper authorization.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, suppliers, staff, and approved beneficiaries.
- Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, and financial accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, following up on outstanding payments diligently.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of internal budgets, financial forecasts, and management reports.
- Monitor cash collections and revenue streams to ensure proper accountability and compliance with company policies.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a healthcare or corporate environment.
- Progress toward or completion of professional accounting qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
