About the Role
Hive is an innovative employee feedback platform and strategic HR partner dedicated to helping organizations manage change and amplify employee voice. We combine an accessible, cloud-based platform with expert People Scientists to empower HR teams and leaders. We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Finance Manager to own our finance function end-to-end. As a key member of our founding team, you will shape our financial processes, systems, and strategy from the ground up in this hands-on role that blends daily accounting with high-level strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable, payroll administration, and regular financial reconciliations.
- Deliver accurate month-end closes and comprehensive financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for leadership and investors.
- Lead annual budgeting processes and create rolling 12-month cash flow forecasts to guide strategic business decisions and profitability.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian financial regulations, managing interactions with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial partners.
- Prepare investor-ready financial statements, valuation models, and due diligence materials to actively support future fundraising rounds.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive finance experience, combining startup exposure with audit or accounting firm backgrounds.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern accounting software like QuickBooks or Xero, alongside advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
