About the Role
Jamub Group is a leading Nigerian conglomerate delivering innovative solutions across B2B, B2G, and B2C sectors. We are currently seeking a diligent and vigilant Surveillance Officer to join our security and ICT team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a secure environment by proactively monitoring live feeds, identifying safety breaches, and ensuring strict compliance with our corporate security protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Continuously monitor live CCTV feeds from all camera locations across Jamub Group sites, ensuring uninterrupted surveillance coverage throughout each shift.
- Observe and identify unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activity, including unauthorized access, theft, safety breaches, and operational irregularities.
- Promptly report incidents, security breaches, and anomalies to the Head of ICT and relevant on-site personnel following escalation procedures.
- Compile clear, accurate, and timely shift handover reports and incident logs, capturing exact times, locations, and actions taken.
- Conduct routine checks of camera functionality, recording status, and storage capacity, immediately reporting technical faults to ICT.
- Support the retrieval and secure preservation of CCTV footage requested for investigations, audits, or disciplinary proceedings while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all footage and monitoring data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and Jamub Group policies.
- Minimum of OND/HND or relevant certification in Security Operations, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Surveillance Officer, CCTV Operator, or similar security monitoring role.
- Strong technical understanding of CCTV systems, DVR/NVR setups, and control room monitoring equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with high integrity and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for accurate incident reporting.
