About the Role
IOTA Group is seeking a highly skilled SURF PLR Design Engineer for a major energy project in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee offshore pipeline engineering support, ensuring all technical, safety, and operational standards are fully met from Pre-FID through to Post-FID execution and handover.
Key Responsibilities- Provide offshore pipeline engineering support to mature the pipeline design basis, route selection, and technical specifications up to FID and contract readiness.
- Manage and coordinate the technical review of pipeline engineering deliverables, ensuring full alignment with contract requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee pipeline design activities including route engineering, wall thickness, on-bottom stability, free-span, buckling, expansion, and corrosion protection.
- Support installation engineering by reviewing lay tension, curvature limits, abandonment and recovery, and installation procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to H3SE rules, company ethics, and anti-corruption policies across all contractor worksites and project phases.
- Participate in technical meetings, HAZID, HAZOP, and risk workshops, providing expert guidance on pipeline technical risks and schedule drivers.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional engineering experience within the oil, gas, or energy sector.
- At least 10 years of specific experience within project and project management roles.
- Strong expertise in offshore pipeline design, SURF packages, installation methodology, and constructability reviews.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable international codes, standards, and H3SE regulations.
