About the Role
Wellsworth Energy Services Limited (WESL) is a leading provider of innovative and safe energy services to exploration and production companies in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Supply Chain Lead to oversee our comprehensive sourcing, procurement, expediting, vendor management, and inventory control activities. In this critical role, you will drive efficient, cost-effective operations, guarantee the timely delivery of essential goods and services, and strengthen supplier performance within the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end sourcing, procurement, expediting, and vendor management activities aligned with business goals.
- Manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) and tender processes, including vendor sourcing, technical evaluation, and selection.
- Conduct vendor pre-qualification, appraisal, and continuous performance assessments to ensure high standards.
- Support contract negotiation and management to secure favourable commercial terms and mitigate risks.
- Identify and implement strategic cost-saving and value-optimisation opportunities across operations.
- Monitor purchase orders, service orders, delivery schedules, and associated expenditures.
- Establish and track key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs), delivering regular reports to management.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Logistics, and Finance to streamline planning and replenishment processes.
- Ensure effective warehouse operations and implement best-practice inventory control mechanisms.
- Provide visionary leadership, supervision, mentorship, and guidance to the internal Supply Chain team.
- Bachelor's Degree from a reputable tertiary institution, with a minimum of Second Class Lower (2:2).
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing, specifically within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Possession of a recognized professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, CIPSMN, ISM, or an equivalent credential.
- Proven supervisory and leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, tender management, supplier evaluation, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory and warehouse management systems.
