About the Role
Golden Oil Industries Limited, a trusted household name in Nigeria's edible oil industry since 1988, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, FFB Sourcing & Procurement. In this strategic leadership role, you will direct our Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) sourcing operations to ensure a continuous, high-quality, and cost-effective supply to our palm oil mills. You will spearhead supplier relations, market intelligence, and procurement governance while driving operational efficiency across our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive FFB sourcing strategies aligned with mill capacity, production targets, and overall business growth objectives.
- Identify, onboard, and manage external suppliers, including plantations, estates, aggregators, traders, and independent producers.
- Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable credit terms, and reliable supply contracts.
- Collaborate closely with Mill Operations and logistics teams to monitor daily intake, eliminate supply gaps, and optimize mill capacity utilization.
- Enforce strict quality control standards regarding ripeness, freshness, and foreign contamination while managing rejection rates.
- Monitor regional market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics to provide actionable strategic insights to executive management.
- Maintain robust internal controls and compliance frameworks with Finance, Legal, and Audit to mitigate procurement risks and prevent fraud.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification in procurement, supply chain, or agricultural management is a distinct advantage.
- 8 to 12 years of professional experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a senior managerial sourcing or procurement role within the agricultural or palm oil sector.
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian palm oil value chain, FFB ecosystems, and agricultural commodity markets.
- Proven expertise in external supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and logistics optimization.
