About the Role
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is seeking dedicated and competent professionals to serve as Supervisory Presiding Officers for upcoming electoral activities. As Nigeria's primary election management body, we are committed to organizing transparent elections that uphold democratic values and reflect the true aspirations of the Nigerian people. Key Responsibilities- Supervise the deployment and conduct of electoral officials across designated polling units within the assigned state.
- Ensure strict adherence to INEC guidelines, the Electoral Act, and constitutional provisions during voting and collation exercises.
- Manage election materials meticulously, ensuring safe delivery, proper deployment, and accurate retrieval from polling stations.
- Resolve operational and logistical challenges promptly at assigned polling clusters to maintain order and efficiency.
- Coordinate with security personnel and local stakeholders to guarantee a safe, secure, and peaceful voting environment.
- Collate and submit accurate election results and statutory reports to designated collation centers in a timely manner.
- Must be a current Federal Public or Civil Service staff member on Grade Level (GL) 10 to 14, with priority given to qualified personnel from NYSC, NOA, NIMC, and NPC.
- Current INEC staff, including RAOs and other eligible personnel not assigned to conflicting duties (GL 10 to 14), are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strictly non-partisan: Applicants must not be members of any political party or have expressed public support for any candidate or political group.
- Must be resident in the specific state selected for the application and familiar with the local terrain.
