About the Role
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is seeking dedicated and qualified professionals to serve as Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH) Officers. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth deployment and operation of electoral technology, contributing directly to free, fair, and credible elections across Nigeria in alignment with our national mandate.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for electoral devices and hardware at designated Registration Areas.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and testing of voter verification and registration equipment before and during elections.
- Collaborate with field officers to resolve technical glitches promptly and minimize downtime on election day.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and return of all assigned technological assets and infrastructure.
- Report technical incidents and provide detailed feedback to supervisory teams for continuous improvement.
- Must be current federal public or civil service staff, or employees of MDAs on Grade Level (GL) 10 - 14.
- Priority consideration given to qualified staff of NYSC, NOA, NIMC, NPC, and existing INEC Registration Area Officers (RAOs).
- Applicants must strictly not be members of any political party or have expressed support for any candidate.
- Must currently reside in the specific state selected for the application.
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling general ICT hardware, software troubleshooting, and technical field support.
