About the Role
Resurgir Consulting is partnering with a leading retail client to recruit a dynamic and results-driven Supermarket Supervisor for their bustling store in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving operational excellence, maintaining exceptional merchandising standards, and leading a motivated team to deliver outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily store operations, staff schedules, attendance, and overall team performance across all aisles.
- Monitor customer service standards to ensure shoppers receive prompt, professional, and courteous assistance.
- Oversee cash-handling procedures, reconcile daily sales, and maintain accurate operational records.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate regular stocktaking, and help minimize product shrinkage, damage, and wastage.
- Ensure products are properly arranged, accurately priced, clearly labelled, and regularly checked for expiry dates.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, opening and closing procedures, and resolving basic customer complaints.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in supermarket, retail, store management, or a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, team-management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer operations and basic retail management software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Must be trustworthy, punctual, and willing to work 22 days per month.
