About the Role
SPIE Oil & Gas Services is a global leader in technical expertise for the oil and gas industry, dedicated to addressing complex human, technological, and environmental challenges. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Subsea Wells Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical offshore leadership role, you will oversee subsea activities, ensure zero HSE incidents, and minimize non-productive time across our deepwater well delivery campaigns.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership and supervisory oversight to offshore subsea supervisors and up to 15 service contractor personnel per operation.
- Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies, statutory standards, and ethical requirements, acting as an onsite emergency response team member.
- Monitor subsea contractor performance (KPIs) and manage offshore equipment maintenance and mobilization to rigs, OIMR, and LWI vessels.
- Support the delivery of 8-10 deepwater wells annually through rigorous planning, technical support, and seamless cross-functional coordination.
- Verify valid Permit to Work (PTW) documentation and contribute to the prevention of loss of well control with valid IWCF certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive professional experience in subsea operations, well engineering, or drilling within the oil and gas sector.
- Valid IWCF certification and comprehensive knowledge of subsea equipment, systems, and well intervention techniques.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with major service contractors.
