About the Role
Shalina Healthcare is a market leader dedicated to making quality healthcare products affordable and available across Africa. We are currently looking for a skilled HVAC/AC Technician to join our team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and associated environmental control systems within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal performance, product quality, and strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), chillers, cooling towers, compressors, and ventilation systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all HVAC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control-system faults efficiently.
- Maintain precise temperature, humidity, pressure differentials, and air-change rates in production and controlled areas.
- Ensure the proper functioning of HEPA filters, dampers, ducts, and cleanroom HVAC components.
- Support HVAC qualification, validation, commissioning, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance activities.
- OND, HND, or B.Sc./B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on HVAC maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, food, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise working with cleanroom HVAC systems, AHUs, and industrial refrigeration equipment.
- Solid understanding of GMP, GDP, EHS, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
