About the Role
Ponticelli Nigeria [PNL], a premier subsidiary of the Ponticelli Freres Group, delivers world-class construction and upgrade services for onshore and offshore Oil and Gas facilities. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lifting Supervisor to join our growing team in Nigeria and contribute to critical energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site, ensuring seamless execution across onshore and offshore environments.
- Develop, review, and validate complex lifting plans, procedures, and equipment selections in accordance with international standards.
- Enforce strict HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead safety meetings to maintain a zero-incident work culture.
- Manage, train, and mentor lifting personnel, including crane operators, riggers, and banksmen, ensuring valid certifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of lifting gear, maintain accurate compliance records, and report any operational issues.
- Collaborate closely with construction, engineering, and project management teams to optimize resource utilization.
- Proven professional experience as a Lifting Supervisor within the Oil and Gas sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in both onshore and offshore heavy lifting operations.
- In-depth knowledge of international standards such as API, ISO, and LOLER.
- Strong commitment to HSE compliance and proven safety leadership skills.
- Professional proficiency in English for effective communication with international stakeholders.
