About the Role
IOTA Group is seeking an experienced Subsea Operations Supervisor for deepwater assets in Nigeria. In this safety-critical role, you will act as the primary contact in the chain of command, occasionally serving as RSES-D for vessel operations, and oversee up to 30 service contractor personnel while optimizing operational costs and lead times.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Subsea Operations Supervisor, your daily activities will directly impact drilling, completion, and intervention projects:
- Lead deep offshore subsea operations on drilling rigs, OIMR, and LWI vessels ensuring strict adherence to HSE standards and PTW protocols.
- Provide financial oversight for up to $20M in operational spend per well operation, driving performance and cost savings.
- Manage preparation, planning, execution, and follow-up for top hole, upper completions, well testing, and intervention activities.
- Serve as the offshore interface focal point between DCD and other company departments, ensuring accurate reporting via WELLVIEW.
- Mentor junior supervisors and young engineers while fostering a lean, continuous improvement culture.
- Participate in HAZIDS/HAZOPS, onshore risk assessments, and contractor technical and safety audits.
To qualify for this exciting offshore opportunity in Nigeria, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or relevant technical Diploma.
- 5 to 15 years of relevant technical experience in offshore subsea, intervention, and completion roles.
- Extensive experience in SPS equipment installation with main SPS contractors (OneSubsea, TechnipFMC, Aker Solutions) and sub-contractors.
- Valid IWCF and Certificate of Competency (COC) certifications.
- Proven expertise in deepwater environments up to 1600m operating water depth on 6th generation drillships.
