About the Role
Pacific International Drilling S.A. is a growing offshore drilling company providing global ultra-deepwater drilling services to the oil and natural gas industry through high-specification drillships. We are currently seeking a dedicated Subsea Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria to support our expanding offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of Blowout Preventers (BOPs) and associated control systems.
- Manage riser tensioners, heave compensators, and all wellhead equipment and running tools.
- Execute accurate mathematical calculations for riser runs and tensioner configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex hydraulic and fluid system issues to minimize operational downtime.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary offshore teams while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Plan, organize, and delegate maintenance tasks efficiently across diverse operational groups.
- Recognized Marine or Engineering qualification from a Maritime college or equivalent technical institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant offshore experience combined with specialized training in hydraulics and fluid systems.
- Advanced expertise in subsea blowout preventers, wellhead equipment, and running tools.
- Minimum educational requirements include SSCE/WAEC/GCE O-Level, with an OND, HND, or B.Sc. strongly preferred.
- Must be a Nigerian resident currently residing in Nigeria with unrestricted authorization to work.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in fluent English.
