About the Role
Redeemer's 103.5 FM is a prominent campus radio station established by Redeemer's University in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. The station functions as both a training ground for world-class broadcasters and a tool for stimulating grassroots development within its local community. We are looking for an enthusiastic Student Volunteer to contribute to our Yoruba news and cultural programming.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in researching, translating, and anchoring news bulletins in the Yoruba language.
- Help produce engaging community-focused radio programs and segments.
- Operate basic studio equipment during live broadcasts under supervision.
- Conduct interviews with local community members and guests in Yoruba.
- Collaborate with the production team to brainstorm creative content ideas.
- Current student at Redeemer's University or a relevant tertiary institution.
- Fluent in spoken and written Yoruba, with a clear and engaging broadcast voice.
- Strong passion for journalism, broadcasting, and community development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented media environment.
- Gain hands-on industry experience in a professional radio broadcast environment.
- Receive mentorship from seasoned broadcasting professionals and media experts.
- Build a robust professional portfolio and network within the Nigerian media industry.
