About the Role
Redeemer's 103.5 FM, a prominent campus radio station established by Redeemer's University in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate Student Volunteer for News & Current Affairs. This role offers an incredible platform to gain practical broadcasting experience while contributing to grassroots development within our local community.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in researching, writing, and editing news scripts and current affairs bulletins.
- Participate in live radio broadcasting, anchoring news segments, and conducting interviews.
- Monitor local and international news sources for developing stories relevant to the campus and wider community.
- Collaborate with producers and fellow volunteers to brainstorm engaging content and program segments.
- Perform administrative duties within the newsroom as assigned by the station manager.
- Currently enrolled as a student at Redeemer's University or a recognized tertiary institution.
- Strong passion for journalism, broadcasting, and mass communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a clear and confident on-air voice.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced media environment.
- Basic understanding of journalistic ethics and current affairs in Nigeria.
