About the Role
Redeemer's 103.5 FM, a prominent campus radio station established by Redeemer's University in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate Student Volunteer for our Entertainment (General Talk/Variety) desk. We function as both a premier training ground for world-class broadcasters and a vital tool for stimulating grassroots development within our local community. Key Responsibilities- Co-host and assist in producing engaging general talk and variety entertainment shows.
- Research trending pop culture, lifestyle, and campus entertainment topics for daily broadcasts.
- Interact with listeners via phone calls, text messages, and social media platforms during live shows.
- Assist producers and senior broadcasters with studio equipment setup and guest management.
- Create short audio clips and social media highlights from live entertainment segments.
- Participate in regular station training workshops and editorial meetings.
- Current student enrolled at Redeemer's University or a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Strong verbal communication skills with a clear, engaging voice.
- Passionate about entertainment, pop culture, music, and general talk radio.
- Basic understanding of broadcast media ethics and radio production is an advantage.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and manage time effectively.
- Creativity and willingness to learn standard broadcast software and equipment.
