About the Role
SCM Capital Limited is a leading Nigerian investment banking and fund management firm with roots tracing back over 50 years to NAL Merchant Bank. Having played a significant role in the Nigerian capital market by handling IPOs, capital issues, and major advisory transactions, we are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Strategy Officer to join our high-performing team in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of the company’s corporate strategy and overarching business plans.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and financial analysis to identify lucrative growth opportunities.
- Prepare robust business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations for new corporate initiatives.
- Track strategic initiatives and key performance indicators, proactively highlighting performance gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with various departmental teams to ensure all business activities align seamlessly with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Prepare detailed management reports, executive presentations, and regular strategy updates for senior leadership.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or business analysis.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- A postgraduate degree (such as an MBA or MSc) or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
