Chophouse Bistro and Grills is a popular seafood and native cuisine restaurant located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. We are now looking for an exceptional Accountant ready to bring their financial expertise, energy, and precision to our growing hospitality business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, monthly profit and loss reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Reconcile bank statements, daily POS sales, and inventory records to ensure financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory remittances (VAT, PAYE, pension), and financial regulations.
- Assist management in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning to optimize restaurant profitability.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and coordinate with external auditors as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory financial compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and high level of integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment based in Port Harcourt.
