About the Role
Welcome2Africa International is a leading trade and investment facilitation company focused on Nigeria's agricultural and maritime sectors. We empower investors and multinationals by driving key economic initiatives. We are currently looking for a diligent Strategic Finance Officer to join our team in Nigeria, offering a unique opportunity to build and scale a robust finance function from the ground up alongside our Strategic Finance Lead.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate, up-to-date books and ledgers for each entity within the group.
- Perform timely bank, cash, and inter-company reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage accounts receivable by raising invoices and tracking sponsorships, retainers, and trade proceeds.
- Oversee accounts payable, schedule disbursements for approval, and maintain organized supplier records.
- Track grant and donor-funded program expenditures separately to ensure compliance with partner reporting requirements.
- Support budgeting processes, statutory filings, tax returns, and annual audits to ensure full compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with progress toward professional certifications like ACCA or ICAN being an advantage.
- Demonstrated hands-on bookkeeping and reconciliation experience coupled with strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
