About the Role
DP World is a global leader in supply chain solutions, dedicated to making trade flow better across the globe. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Workshop Storeman to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the seamless flow of goods, including the receipt, storage, issuance, and meticulous accounting of spare parts to support our workshop operations and drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily warehousing and storekeeping tasks, including receiving, identifying, handling, storing, and issuing spare parts.
- Ensure physical inventory balances match system records and maintain up-to-date bin cards.
- Process job orders daily and ensure stock serial numbers are consistent with system entries.
- Determine appropriate storage locations, optimize space utilization, and maintain excellent warehousing practices.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, spot checks, and periodic store counts while monitoring reorder levels.
- Report any stock damages or warehouse maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Maintain warehouse safety, security, and cleanliness while adhering to company health policies.
- Interface with technical buyers, vendors, and workshop personnel, and submit comprehensive monthly reports.
- National Diploma (ND) in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in complete inventory management and storekeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, data analysis tools, and inventory management software.
- Strong understanding of asset tracking systems and basic accounting principles.
