About the Role
Viju Industries Nigeria Limited, a leading and dynamic firm in the beverage production industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Security Manager to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our workforce, facilities, and assets while fostering a culture of safety excellence across all manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure strict compliance with national health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety policies tailored to a fast-paced beverage production environment.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, hazard identifications, and safety audits to proactively mitigate workplace hazards.
- Oversee and update robust emergency response plans and coordinate regular evacuation drills for all staff.
- Manage physical security operations, including access control systems, visitor management, and the supervision of third-party security guards.
- Maintain effective liaison with local law enforcement and community stakeholders for proactive security intelligence.
- Lead comprehensive investigations into any workplace incidents, accidents, or security breaches, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety and security records, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Security Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of cognate experience in safety and security management, preferably within the manufacturing, FMCG, or beverage production sector.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, HSE Level 3/3+, ISPON, or equivalent security management credentials are strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health, industrial hygiene, fire safety systems, and modern electronic security infrastructure.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, crisis management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capability to train staff at all organizational levels.
