About the Role
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a dedicated Storekeeper Assistant to provide maternity cover support for our humanitarian operations in Nigeria. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to emergency medical aid delivery by ensuring efficient warehouse and supply chain management for life-saving healthcare programmes across challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities- Receive incoming goods, verify condition and quantities against waybills, and support warehouse unloading operations
- Prepare outgoing items with proper packing, sealing, and labelling while maintaining cold chain integrity where required
- Maintain accurate stock documentation using warehouse management systems and inventory cards
- Organize and store materials according to warehouse standards, ensuring visibility and traceability
- Monitor warehouse temperature controls and ensure proper storage of temperature-sensitive medical supplies
- Conduct stock inventory counts and report discrepancies to the Storekeeper
- Maintain cleanliness, security, and safety standards across all storage areas
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and ensure proper tool storage and usage
- Report incidents and operational concerns to supervisory staff
- HND or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Inventory Management, or related field (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
- Strong mathematical skills and experience using measuring equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse best practices and stockroom operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven attention to detail and commitment to accountability
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic humanitarian settings
- Prior NGO or humanitarian sector experience preferred
