About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor of major electronic brands such as Samsung, Royal, Parsun, and Powermatic, is seeking a diligent and organized Store Officer to join our team in Akwa Ibom. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock organization, and supporting our mission to deliver top-tier quality and service to our customers across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming goods and materials, ensuring they match approved purchase orders.
- Organize and store products safely to guarantee easy accessibility and prevent damage to consumer electronics.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all stock movements using enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Issue stock to authorized departments and personnel based on approved requisitions.
- Prepare essential store documents including Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and Store Issue Vouchers.
- Conduct routine physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Monitor stock levels to identify replenishment needs and report slow-moving or damaged inventory.
- Collaborate effectively with Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Warehouse teams.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in inventory management, warehousing, or storekeeping.
- Prior experience in a retail or consumer electronics environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern inventory management or ERP systems.
- Strong numerical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and robust record-keeping skills.
