About the Role
Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier university teaching hospital standing at the vibrant intersection of research, education, and patient care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and competent Store Officer to join our Procurement and Store Unit and contribute to our mission of medical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily store operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and inventory control of medical and non-medical supplies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock movements using computerized inventory systems.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical inventories with system records to prevent discrepancies.
- Liaise with the procurement department to ensure timely replenishment of essential hospital items.
- Ensure proper organization, safety, and security of the storehouse in compliance with healthcare standards.
- B.Sc or HND in Business Studies or a related field.
- Valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in store management or inventory control, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong ICT compliance and proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications or registration with applicable regulatory bodies is an added advantage.
