About the Role

Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Store Officer to join our dynamic operations team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high standards of supply chain efficiency, inventory control, and warehouse management. You will work within a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all inbound and outbound materials are accurately tracked, inspected, and documented to support our extensive manufacturing and logistics networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Physically receive materials from cargo or consignments, rigorously checking delivery notes and waybills against Purchase Orders.
  • Identify and resolve delivery discrepancies, variances, and coordinate with the Procurement department to close out POs.
  • Liaise with internal user departments to reconcile inventory records, particularly focusing on critical and insurance parts.
  • Monitor and analyze store layout utilization, ensuring all materials are properly stacked and stored in designated locations.
  • Track and manage cross-dock materials, ensuring Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and Store Issue Reservations are posted seamlessly.
  • Prepare and process accurate gate passes for approved material outward movements.
  • Track Stock Transfer Order (STO) transactions and ensure prompt resolution and close-out.
  • Facilitate the timely return of faulty credit stock and unsatisfactory deliveries to suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Statistics, Accounting, Purchasing and Supply, or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of proven professional experience in stores and inventory management.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems, specifically SAP (MM module), is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general bookkeeping practices.
  • Strong understanding of stock handling procedures and warehouse safety standards.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to thrive as part of a collaborative team.
