About the Role
Hobark International Limited (HIL) is a leading group operating in the oil and gas industry with a strong global presence and its head office in Lagos, Nigeria. We provide specialized services spanning drilling, international procurement, and full-cycle recruitment solutions through our specialized subsidiaries. We are currently looking for a dynamic and seasoned Contracts Lawyer to join our legal team in Lagos and provide robust legal support across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Provide practical legal advice and risk management strategies aligned with the company's legal posture.
- Prepare comprehensive legal opinions, corporate policies, and operational procedures.
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks and legal requirements for various corporate projects and transactions under the direction of the Company Secretary Legal Adviser.
- Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations governing the oil and gas sector.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to protect company interests.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and BL qualification; an LLM degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of in-house legal work experience within the legal department of a reputable, structured oil and gas or corporate environment.
- Demonstrated international exposure through education or post-BL work experience is advantageous.
- Strong expertise in national and international oil and gas laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional verbal and written business communication skills.
- Proven ability to execute complex assignments under pressure with minimal supervision.
