About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager - Issuing to join our operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee material issuing operations for production, maintenance, and site projects, ensuring accuracy, timely issuance, and strict inventory control to support uninterrupted plant operations while minimizing stock losses.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily issuing activities to production, maintenance, and contractors according to approved requisitions and work orders.
- Verify requisitions for proper authorizations, specifications, and availability before material release.
- Ensure accurate picking, kiting, and staging of materials while maintaining strict FIFO/FEFO discipline.
- Execute material issuance using ERP/WMS modules and ensure all documentation is complete and archived.
- Control the issuance of critical spares and high-value items by implementing a robust approval matrix.
- Collaborate with planning and maintenance teams to prioritize urgent breakdown and spare requests.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the issuing team to maintain high performance and process compliance.
- Enforce zero tolerance for theft, pilferage, and unauthorized issuance through strict access control and sign-off procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of stores and issuing experience within a heavy industry or large manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP store modules and material issue workflows.
- Strong process discipline, numerical accuracy, and technical knowledge of spare parts identification.
