About the Role
The Dangote Group is seeking a dedicated and analytical Store Manager - Inventory Control to join our dynamic team at DCP Ibese. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, controlling, and optimizing inventory levels across our stores network through robust inventory management, cycle counting, reconciliation, reporting, and policy enforcement to reduce carrying costs and ensure seamless material availability.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records in ERP/WMS and ensure timely posting of receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
- Design and implement cycle count programmes and full stocktakes, coordinating closely with internal and external auditors.
- Investigate and resolve variances between physical and system balances, proposing actionable solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Classify inventory by ABC/criticality and recommend optimal safety stocks, reorder points, and economic order quantities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize write-offs, slow-moving items, and obsolete stock.
- Prepare and present comprehensive monthly inventory reports, ageing analysis, slow-moving lists, and shrinkage reports.
- Manage stores ledger reconciliations and collaborate with Finance for seamless month-end and year-end closings.
- Implement and strictly enforce inventory control policies, documentation standards, and approval hierarchies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in inventory management or stores control, preferably within a high-value industrial setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated experience using ERP reporting and inventory modules such as SAP or Oracle.
