About the Role
DP World is a leading global supply chain solutions provider dedicated to making trade flow better across the globe. We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Storeman to join our dynamic logistics team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in line with our global guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Execute daily warehouse activities including the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods according to standard operating procedures.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as hand pallet jacks and forklifts safely, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
- Perform accurate picking, sorting, staging, and put-away of commodities using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and assist in variance resolution with the inventory team.
- Maintain Good Warehousing Practices (GWP), proper stock safety, storage conditions, and general warehouse housekeeping.
- Actively participate in health, safety, and environment (HSE) meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
- Minimum of SSCE or O’ Level qualification.
- 1 to 2 years of proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), batch management, and receiving/dispatch workflows.
- Valid certification for operating material handling equipment like forklifts.
- Strong communication skills, team spirit, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
