About the Role

The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is looking for a dedicated and meticulous Store Manager - Control to join our operations at DCP Obajana. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, controlling, and optimizing inventory levels across our stores network through robust inventory management, cycle counting, and policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records in ERP/WMS systems and ensure timely posting of all transactions.
  • Design and implement comprehensive cycle count programmes, full stocktakes, and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Investigate and resolve variances between physical and system balances, proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Classify inventory utilizing ABC and criticality metrics to recommend optimal safety stocks and reorder points.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing write-offs, slow-moving items, and obsolete stock.
  • Prepare and present monthly inventory reports, ageing analysis, and shrinkage metrics to senior management.
  • Enforce strict inventory control policies, documentation standards, and approval hierarchies across the stores network.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in inventory management or stores control, preferably within a high-value industrial setting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with ERP inventory modules such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Exceptional analytical mindset, strong numerical skills, and rigorous attention to detail.
