Chophouse Bistro & Grills is a popular seafood and native cuisine restaurant located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Now, we are looking for an exceptional Janitor ready to bring their energy and commitment to our hospitality environment, ensuring our premises remain spotless and welcoming for every guest who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of the dining area, kitchen, restrooms, and bar spaces.
- Empty trash bins regularly and manage waste disposal according to hygiene protocols.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, doors, and restaurant fixtures.
- Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue regularly throughout the shift.
- Report any maintenance issues, repairs needed, or safety hazards to restaurant management immediately.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the hospitality workspace.
- Minimum of a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or SSCE qualification.
- Proven work experience as a Cleaner, Janitor, or in a similar housekeeping role, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Good understanding of sanitation procedures, safety rules, and proper chemical handling.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle strenuous cleaning tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, cooperative attitude toward colleagues.
