About the Role
Lock and Sum Consulting is partnering with CNC, an exciting new fine dining Afro-fusion restaurant launching in Jos, to recruit a meticulous and driven Store and Inventory Officer. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our culinary operations, ensuring that all food and beverage stock, kitchen supplies, and equipment are accurately tracked, safely stored, and readily available. Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming food, beverage, and non-food inventory deliveries for accuracy and quality against purchase orders.
- Maintain organized and hygienic storage facilities, including dry stores, refrigerators, and freezers, in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Conduct routine physical stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances to minimize shrinkage and waste.
- Monitor inventory levels closely to prevent stockouts of critical ingredients while avoiding overstocking of perishable items.
- Manage the issuance of stock to the kitchen and bar teams based on approved requisitions and daily operational needs.
- Maintain up-to-date digital and physical inventory logs, generating regular stock movement and valuation reports for management.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and procurement teams to ensure timely deliveries and maintain optimal pricing and quality standards.
- Minimum of a National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven working experience as a Store Officer, Inventory Clerk, or Warehouse Assistant, preferably within the hospitality, restaurant, or retail sector.
- Strong proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen and management staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and physically manage stock lifting and organizing when required.
