About the Role
PG Consulting Limited is partnering with a leading steel manufacturing firm to recruit a talented and detail-oriented Steel Detailing Engineer / Tekla Specialist. In this crucial role within the Engineering Department, you will transform complex engineering designs into accurate, fabrication-ready, and erection-ready models and drawings for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), structural steel, and miscellaneous steel projects. Key Responsibilities- Develop accurate 3D models and comprehensive shop drawings using Tekla Structures.
- Detail primary and secondary steel, bracing systems, staircases, handrails, and miscellaneous steel items.
- Prepare and detail bolted and welded steel connections in compliance with project standards.
- Generate precise Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Offs (MTO), and NC/CNC files.
- Coordinate seamlessly with Design Engineers, Production, Procurement, and Site Teams.
- Review projects for constructability, fabrication efficiency, transportation, and erection requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with project specifications, company standards, and international codes.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in steel detailing.
- Proven hands-on experience in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Structural Steel projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and good command of AutoCAD.
- Thorough understanding of steel fabrication processes and erection methodologies.
- Familiarity with international steel standards such as AISC, MBMA, AWS, or Eurocode.
