About the Role
The Dangote Group is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Operator to join our dynamic engineering and maintenance team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in producing precise technical drawings, schematics, and plant layouts that support our diverse manufacturing and industrial operations across the continent.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed mechanical, electrical, piping, structural, and civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Update and revise as-built drawings and technical documentation to reflect plant modifications and project changes.
- Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and project instructions to accurately convert concepts into technical designs.
- Generate comprehensive plant layouts, equipment arrangement drawings, and utility routing plans.
- Maintain drawing control and manage electronic records in accordance with strict document control procedures.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to provide drafting support for maintenance and new installations.
- Ensure all technical drawings comply with relevant engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality control procedures.
- National Diploma (ND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related technical discipline; alternatively, Trade Test Grade I, II, and III in Drafting or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in AutoCAD drafting, plant documentation, or project engineering within manufacturing, oil and gas, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D drafting, with strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards and drafting principles.
- Relevant professional certifications such as AutoCAD Professional Certification or Autodesk Certified User are a strong advantage.
