About the Role
Matrix Energy Group, a fast-growing indigenous and integrated Oil Marketing and Trading Company, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Station Supervisor to support the smooth running of its retail station operations. This role is central to ensuring operational efficiency, accurate cash management, and excellent customer service at the station level, while working closely with the Outlet Manager and station team to achieve set sales targets.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong organizational skills, and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, accountability, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Station Manager in coordinating and supervising daily station operations
- Schedule, assign, and monitor the daily tasks and performance of station attendants
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards among station personnel
- Maintain accurate inventory control of materials, products, and consumables at the station
- Oversee daily product discharge operations, ensuring adherence to approved operational manuals and procedures
- Implement and monitor strict cash control and cash evacuation policies, ensuring prompt and accurate remittance by attendants at agreed intervals
- Collaborate with other station staff to meet and exceed set sales budgets and targets
- Act as the first point of contact for resolving customer complaints and queries promptly and professionally
- Ensure the station environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with company standards
- Report operational issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns to the Station/Outlet Manager in a timely manner
- OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree in any discipline; a background in Business Administration, Management, or related field is an advantage
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the oil and gas or retail industry
- Strong numerical and cash handling skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage station operations under pressure
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and inventory tracking
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset
