About the Role
Matrix Energy Group, a fast-growing indigenous and integrated Oil Marketing and Trading Company with interests spanning shipping, commodities trading, depot operations, fertilizer blending, exploration, and haulage services, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Station Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating station activities, managing stock levels, ensuring product availability, and driving sales growth while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies and security agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee all daily operations and activities at the station
- Conduct daily stock scanning, planning, and inventory management to ensure consistent product availability
- Monitor product discharge to guarantee accuracy and quality control
- Perform regular security surveillance and liaise with internal and external security agents to maintain a safe operating environment
- Build and maintain cordial, productive relationships with statutory agencies and regulatory bodies
- Set and achieve station profitability and sales targets
- Drive aggressive marketing efforts to attract and retain prospective customers
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and inventory reports
- Implement strategies to increase market share through consistent sales initiatives
- Supervise, coordinate, and motivate station staff to ensure optimal performance
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in station management, retail operations, or the oil and gas sector
- Strong knowledge of stock management and inventory control practices
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with regulatory bodies and security agencies
