About the Role
Nepal Energy is a renowned leader in the importation, warehousing, and distribution of petroleum products across Nigeria. Driven by a massive fleet of motorized tanker trucks and strategically positioned retail outlets, we excel at meeting the ever-rising energy demands of the Nigerian market. We are currently seeking a diligent and trustworthy Station Cashier to join our vibrant team and support our daily retail operations.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process customer payments via cash, POS, bank transfers, and other electronic channels
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of daily sales and cash collections
- Reconcile cash, POS, and electronic transaction summaries accurately at the end of each shift
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily cash and sales reports to management
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, referenced, and supported
- Safeguard cash and other payment instruments strictly in line with company procedures
- Promptly identify and report any cash shortages, discrepancies, or irregularities
- Collaborate closely with station supervisors and accountants to streamline financial operations
- Ensure full compliance with company cash-handling policies and financial control procedures
- Provide courteous, prompt, and efficient customer service to all patrons
- Minimum of OND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Cashier, Teller, or in a similar financial record-keeping role
- High level of integrity, honesty, and attention to detail
- Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in using POS terminals and basic accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage shifts
