About the Role
Malaria Consortium is seeking a dedicated and results-driven State Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will provide leadership and strategic oversight for the SARMAAN II Project at the state level, collaborating closely with the Ministry of Health, key stakeholders, and our country office team to deliver impactful malaria control initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day project planning, implementation, and coordination in the state to ensure timely delivery of workplans and achievement of targets.
- Manage state project budgets, financial tracking, and quarterly reporting in compliance with donor regulations and value-for-money principles.
- Provide robust performance management and leadership to the state project team.
- Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with the State Ministry of Health, Primary Health Care Development Agency, and other key health sector stakeholders.
- Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and data collection processes to ensure high-quality project reporting and continuous learning.
- Represent Malaria Consortium at state-level meetings, advocacy events, and technical working groups.
- Postgraduate or Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Extensive professional experience managing donor-funded public health projects at the national or state level.
- Proven expertise in project planning, budgeting, team leadership, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong understanding of public health issues and health systems in Nigeria and West Africa.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, report-writing, and communication skills in English.
- Prior experience in malaria control program implementation is highly desirable.
