About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated State Clinical Training Officer to join our team in Imo State. In this role, you will train and mentor public-sector healthcare providers to deliver exceptional family planning services, with a strong focus on long-acting reversible contraception.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive clinical training and supportive supervision to assigned public-sector healthcare providers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance standards, infection prevention protocols, and medical emergency preparedness.
  • Manage commodity stock levels and prevent the occurrence of essential supply stock-outs across target facilities.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, implementing partners, and community leaders to enhance program visibility and impact.
  • Validate and accurately report service delivery data into the ORION system in line with strict timelines.
  • Conduct regular client record audits and facility performance reviews to drive continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
  • Degree as a Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse, Midwife, or equivalent qualification in medical sciences.
  • Extensive technical expertise in long-acting reversible contraception including IUD and implant insertion and removal.
  • Demonstrated experience in competency-based training, mentorship, and certification of healthcare professionals in Nigeria.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded health projects such as USAID, DFID, or Gates Foundation initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and computer proficiency skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project implementation sites across Imo State.
