About the Role
MSI Reproductive Choices is a global leader in sexual and reproductive healthcare, committed to delivering compassionate, affordable, and high-quality services. We are currently seeking a dedicated State Clinical Training Officer (SCTO) to join our team in Bayelsa, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will train and support public-sector healthcare providers to deliver exceptional family planning services, focusing on long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) to help women make informed reproductive health choices.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct competency-based training, supportive supervision, coaching, and mentoring for assigned healthcare providers.
- Ensure facility compliance with national and organizational quality assurance standards, infection prevention, and medical emergency preparedness.
- Monitor supply chains to prevent stock-outs of essential commodities, equipment, and clinical governance materials.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, implementing partners, and local communities to drive demand creation and brand visibility.
- Collect, validate, and report accurate service data into the ORION system by established monthly deadlines.
- Conduct monthly client record audits, facility performance reviews, and quality improvement activities.
- Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse, Midwife, or holding other relevant medical science qualifications.
- Proven technical expertise in long-acting reversible contraception (LARC), specifically IUD and implant insertion and removal.
- Significant experience in competency-based training and certification of healthcare providers in modern family planning methods.
- Familiarity with Nigeria's cultural and health landscape, alongside experience working with NGOs or donor-funded projects.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer proficiency skills, with a willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
