About the Role
Proten International is seeking a dedicated and experienced Training Coordinator for Security Guards to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will develop, implement, and oversee impactful training programs designed to enhance the skills, knowledge, and operational effectiveness of our security personnel, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver comprehensive training modules covering security procedures, crisis management, legal requirements, and professional customer service.
- Lead engaging classroom training, practical drills, and on-the-job training sessions for security personnel.
- Ensure all security guards meet strict licensing and certification requirements while maintaining compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Assess and continuously improve training programs based on participant feedback, performance reviews, and industry best practices.
- Conduct scenario-based training for fire safety, first aid, emergency evacuation procedures, and threat assessments.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and continuous professional development opportunities for security staff.
- Maintain accurate training records, track certifications, and schedule necessary refresher courses.
- Collaborate closely with HR and operations teams to address emerging training needs and security concerns.
- Proven experience as a Training Manager or Security Trainer within the security industry, law enforcement, or military.
- In-depth knowledge of physical security procedures, risk assessment, and emergency response protocols.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications in security training, first aid, or law enforcement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive training manuals, materials, and assessments.
- Background as an ex-military or paramilitary personnel will be considered a distinct advantage.
