About the Role
Extension Africa (EXAF) is a data-driven agritech platform transforming agricultural value chains by providing private extension services, expanding smallholder access to resources, and creating economic opportunities across Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Extension Africa's donor-funded development programs in the assigned state, translating strategic work plans into high-impact field activities.
- Facilitate comprehensive training programs for smallholder farmers and grassroots extension agents.
- Drive the adoption of innovative climate-smart agriculture and digital extension practices.
- Ensure data integrity and maintain accurate reporting against the project results framework using digital tools.
- Build and certify last-mile rural structures, including Farmer Business Associates and vendors, for seamless commercial handover.
- Engage and collaborate with local government structures, cooperatives, and community leaders.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive professional experience in agricultural or rural development projects, preferably within NGO or donor-funded environments.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing climate-smart agriculture and ICT4Ag tools.
- Proficiency in digital data collection platforms such as ODK, KoboCollect, and advanced MS Excel.
- Fluency in English and the predominant local language of Benue State.
- Mandatory residency in Benue State or a willingness to relocate immediately.
