About the Role
Habrams Energy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Start-Up Specialist II to support the safe, efficient, and timely execution of complex project start-up activities. In this role, you will provide critical technical expertise within a designated discipline—such as Rotating Machinery, Electrical, Process, Instrumentation, or DCS—while collaborating closely with project teams, affiliate operations, and external contractors across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Start-Up Coordinator and Manager in ensuring operational excellence and incident-free framework expectations are consistently met.
- Contribute to the development and seamless execution of comprehensive project start-up plans.
- Provide discipline-specific technical expertise during planning, commissioning, and facility integration phases.
- Collaborate with Operations, Integrated Commissioning, and Facility Engineering teams to guarantee safe start-up procedures.
- Develop and execute downstream start-up procedures for integrated project assets.
- Monitor and support project priorities concerning safety, quality, and strict scheduling guidelines.
- Apply deep operational knowledge to proactively identify, assess, and manage facility risks.
- Proven professional experience in a closely related start-up, commissioning, or operations role within the energy sector.
- Relevant discipline-specific professional certifications or equivalent engineering background.
- Proficiency in Work Management Systems and Systems Completion Database software such as WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, or Orbit.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate field conditions and recommend actionable remediation.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and dynamic priorities.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
