About the Role

Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children with special needs, particularly those diagnosed with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD. We are committed to providing support, resources, and opportunities for these children to thrive, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Staff Auxiliary Nurse to join our compassionate care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support residents with feeding and ensure proper nutritional intake.
  • Monitor and report vital signs and any changes in resident conditions to the Registered Nurse.
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and assistance with mobility and transfers.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living environments while adhering to infection prevention standards.
  • Observe and promptly report any unusual behavior, discomfort, or injuries to supervising medical staff.
  • Assist Registered Nurses with routine patient care and clinical tasks within your scope of training.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of all residents.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an Auxiliary Nurse certification, Healthcare Assistant qualification, or relevant healthcare training.
  • Prior experience in care homes, hospitals, or special needs support environments is a distinct advantage.
  • Must be highly compassionate, patient, respectful, dependable, and physically capable of assisting with mobility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Must reside in Ikorodu or be willing to relocate to accommodation provided on-site.
