About the Role
SAGLEV Electromobility Co. Nig Ltd is a pioneering force in the distribution, assembly, and manufacturing of electric vehicles across emerging markets, offering innovative and affordable mobility solutions. We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with Nigerian tax laws and IFRS, and driving financial accuracy across our automotive and manufacturing divisions. Key Responsibilities- Manage fleet accounting processes, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance costs, fuel expenses, depreciation, and repairs.
- Oversee manufacturing accounting operations such as production costs, raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and inventory valuation.
- Perform comprehensive inventory and stock accounting, including regular reconciliations and variance analyses.
- Handle fixed asset accounting with a strong focus on vehicle and plant or equipment assets.
- Execute day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and detailed financial analyses.
- Ensure strict compliance with IFRS and local Nigerian tax and accounting regulations.
- Mandatory ICAN qualification (ACA required).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is strictly required.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Zoho Books is a distinct advantage.
- High level of professional integrity, strong analytical skills, and acute attention to detail.
- Must currently reside in Lagos and be available to resume work immediately.
