About the Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Specialist: SHERQ (Process Execution) to join our team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will work hand-in-hand with our transport operations and QHSE departments to champion safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, ensuring our operations meet SOTIF objectives while fostering a secure working environment for employees and contractors alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive execution of yearly Real-Time Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (RT QHSE) plans, including toolbox talks and safety assemblies.
  • Collate and report critical metrics such as defensive driving competence, driver medical fitness, and QHSE performance reviews.
  • Initiate non-compliance reporting, handle consequence management, and assist in conducting road transport compliance spot checks.
  • Maintain updated driver fitness-to-work registries and conduct routine audits to ensure only qualified personnel operate fleet vehicles.
  • Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with operational teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses while managing HSE training programs and maintaining accurate regulatory documentation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or any Science-related discipline.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
  • Certifications in ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISPON Level II.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in HSE, Vehicle, or Fleet Management within the transportation or logistics sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advocating for regulatory compliance and safety standards.
