About the Role
Iron Products Industries Ltd. (IPI) has been a trusted leader in steel fabrication across Nigeria for over 50 years. We specialize in structural steel and oil and gas projects, delivering excellence nationwide. We are currently seeking a talented SolidWorks and AutoCAD Draftsman to join our dynamic engineering team and support our expanding operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, including General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and erection drawings.
- Produce detailed workshop, fabrication drawings, and layouts using AutoCAD 2D.
- Create 3D models, assembly models, and generate fabrication drawings using SolidWorks 3D.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) directly from technical drawings.
- Make necessary revisions and modifications to existing engineering drawings as required.
- Support production and fabrication teams by delivering accurate documentation within specified timelines.
- Proven professional experience as an AutoCAD and SolidWorks Draftsman within the steel fabrication or manufacturing industry.
- Mandatory expertise in AutoCAD 2D for workshop drawings, fabrication details, layouts, and revisions.
- Mandatory expertise in SolidWorks 3D for 3D modeling, assembly modeling, and fabrication drawing generation.
- Solid knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Basic understanding of IS Codes, welding symbols, and engineering tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.
